The Client

SGOSS – Governors for Schools exists to improve educational standards by finding, nurturing and supporting a committed network of governors, connecting schools across England, supported by their business and university partnerships.

The Challenge

SGOSS had a deep desire to gain competitive advantage through improved data & analytics capabilities to support schools in engaging governors with specialist skills.

This drove the requirement to review and change: business processes; personnel; pricing and products (training / e-learning) and the need to formulate the correct KPI’s and reports to effectively manage the re-modelled organisation. Additionally, SGOSS wished to build new functionality into their systems to enable automated matching of individuals to schools.

Ammonite’s Solution

Momentum – Ammonite’s Senior Consultant carried out a full review of SGOSS data strategy, processes, resources and technology. Identifying opportunities for new capability and efficiencies to reduce costs and increase revenue opportunities; for example identification of intensive and repeatable manual processes to eliminate or automate to free skilled resource to focus on value-add client facing activities.

Optimise – A team of 2 Ammonite technical consultants worked closely with SGOSS employees to automate processes & build a new cloud based solution to enable self service dashboards. Ammonite’s Senior Consultant refined the data taxonomy to simplify the customer journey reducing drop out and increasing acquisition.

Autonomy – Ammonite hired an in-house developer with the right skills to take the solution forward. Our senior consultant continued as a long term board advisor & mentor to the wider company to keep on track.
